Melba Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2023, at the age of 95, Melba Smith of Longton, Kansas, born in Moline, Kansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melba Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Howard" Baughman and Vida Grace Baughman (Jay); her husband George Smith; her daughters, Waunita Floyd and Linda Seamans; her granddaughter Michelle Hogan; and her son-in-law James Keith.
She is survived by: her children, Fonetta Keith, Willie Smith (Regina), Mary Ann Moore (Randy) and Milo Smith (Karleen); her sons-in-law, Gary Floyd and Chuck Seamans; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Floyd (Steffanie), Tawnya Sheppard (Markus McCormac) and Tyra Miles (Richey). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Longton Senior Center, contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
