He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Johnson and Josephine Johnson (Heisz); his son James Martin; his wife Sherry; and his siblings, Wilber, Alice, Patricia and Lela.
He is survived by: his sisters, Glenda Stephen and Esther Headley; and his children, Rebecca Rodriguez, Robert Holmes, Susan Bliss, Vivian Dietz, Patsy Gunn and Ginger Pursell. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
