Kurt Beaver wrote a sympathy message

“I am saddened by his passing. He was a great Sunday School teacher who taught me respect for the Old Testament as well as the New. He hired my brothers and I to put up hay many times and it was always a good day of work we were well paid for. We sang together in the church choir, and he was usually an usher and door greeter. A great man to learn from. My heart goes out to JoNelle and all his family.”

Dalene O. Werner wrote a sympathy message

“Larry was stricken to hear of the loss of his college roommate, Leroy. We have always appreciated so much Leroy and Jonelle's efforts to keep in touch over the years. Larry is generally incapacitated since his diagnosis of Inclusion Body Myositis and will not be able to attend the service. He sends his thanks for your friendship and his prayers for all of you in your loss.”
