Though Edra Jean may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Moss and Gertrude Moss (King); her husband Gene Edward Deeds; and her son-in-law Joel Schmidt. She is survived by: her children, Doug Deeds (Rita) of Little River, KS, Lori Rauch (Marvin Jr.) of Little River, KS, Joni Briggs (Bryan) of Windom, KS and Trudy Schmidt of Rose Hill, KS. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Congregational Church, Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, or Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
