He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy "Red" and Hazel Root; his spouse Beverly Nadine Kelley; and his sister Ruthie Bandich. He is survived by: his children, Clement Wayne "Butch" Root Jr. of Casper, WY and Vivian Marie Mackowski (Robert); his grandchildren, Taylor Wayne Root and Alisa Shepard; and his great grandchildren, Kelley Ray and Elsa Shepard.
