She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter C. Smith and Mae Fern Smith (Klamm); and her brother Dwight K. Smith. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Brauer; her children, Richard Brauer, Jr., Kristi Chavers of Linwood, KS. and Holly Cooper (Patrick) of Leavenworth, KS.; her grandchildren, Aaron Chavers (Mikelle), Ryan Chavers (Terrissa) and Hannah Biang (Robert); her great grandchildren, Malachi, Liam, Elias, Aaley, Silas, Matthias, Iyla, Naomi and Tobias; and her sister Nancy Thomas of Silver Lake, KS..
