Jim Coen wrote a sympathy message

“Bill was a truly unique person. I believe he was probably liked by every person he ever met. We were high school and college classmates. We played sports together and sang in choral groups together. We even occasionally double-dated when we were single. We then went our separate ways although our paths crossed several times over the years, I am so glad I got to see him once again not very long ago. So long, Bill. I will miss you!
