She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard G. Schafer and Clara S. Schafer (Nelson); her husband Donald Herman Turnquist; and her siblings, Bernadine Swanson and Bernard Schafer.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Turnquist (Michele) of Austin, TX, Larry Turnquist (Kathy) of Salina, KS, Bryce Turnquist (Patty) of Lindsborg, KS and Donna Wiens (Emery) of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
