He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Ahlstedt and Hazel Ahlstedt (Swedberg); and his grandfather Earl. He is survived by: his siblings, Gordon, Robert and Eleanor Ostlind of Lindsborg; his wife Annamae Johnson; his children, Angie (Elmer Patterson), Andie (Kevin Fulton) and A. J. (Suzanne Vogel); his grandchildren, Kendall, Addie Dunbar, Lucy, Sam, Elle Ahlstedt, Aaron Fulton (Morgan) and Emma Fulton Guarino; and his great grandchild Ellie Guarino.
Family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers to Bethany College, Bethany Home or Messiah Lutheran Church.
