Ron Daise wrote a sympathy message

“Very sorry to hear the news of Bill's passing. I did stop to see Bill at his Lincoln residence a few weeks ago and he seemed to be doing well. We played a lot of American Legion baseball together and of course made one or two trips to Enders for fishing. One memorable event with Bill occurred at his parents farm house while still in high school. I was introduced to mountain oysters and keg beer for the first time that night. ha! Lots of good memories with Bill.”
