He was predeceased by: his parents, Johann Frederick August Meier and Valeria Ernestine Wacker; his wife Leana; his siblings, Arthur, Rudolph, Duane, Alvera Choitz and Lucia Behrens; and his grandson Nick Novak.
He is survived by: his children, Randy (Mary), Sherry Novak (David) of Modoc, KS and Marci Rogers (Doug) of Concordia; and his sister Arlene (Emil). He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
