He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Logan Starkey and Julia Zelma Woods; his brother Edward Starkey; and his brother-in-law Roy Jones. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hess; his sons, Christopher Logan Starkey (Lindsay Starkey) of Liberal and James Samuel Starkey (Cassie Starkey) of Liberal, Kansas.; his sister Mildred Jones of Pearland, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Shanna Starkey, Zoey Starkey, Peyton McDaniel, Everlee Colter, Clara Starkey and Harley Starkey.
