He is survived by: his spouse Eva Juanita Wells; his children, Rodney Staats, Brent Staats, Sharon Staats Nolde (Ted) and Connie Staats Moore (John); his sister Wilma Thiele; his grandchildren, Derek Moore, Jeffery Nolde, Lacey Moore Johnston, Haley Staats Shaw, Bradley Nolde, John W. Moore III and Taylor Staats; his great grandchildren, Kyle Moore, Ellie Parker and Eva Eloise Johnston; and his friend Carolina Pereda.
