It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle McElvania of Liberal, Kansas, born in Bradford, Iowa, who passed away on August 29, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd McElvania and Gladys McElvania (June); his wife June Rommel; his son Kevin; and his sister Lavon Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Canterbury (John) of Ft. Smith, AR, David McElvania (Claudia) of Muskogee, OK and Mark McElvania of Liberal, KS; his grandchildren, Nic Canterbury (Snoober) of Ft. Smith, AR, Jenny Frazier (Brian) of Fayetteville, AR, Sarah McElvania Kitchen (Johnny) of Oklahoma City, OK, Jonathan McElvania of Tulsa, OK, Dylan McElvania of Liberal, KS and James McElvania of Liberal, KS; his great grandchildren, Easton, Ella, Harper Frazier of Fayetteville, AR, Margo, Sam Canterbury of Ft. Smith, AR, Taylor, Zachary, Logan Kitchen of Oklahoma, OK and Jonas McElvania of Liberal, KS; his brothers, Glen McElvania (Pat) of Alden Iowa and Marlyn (Marlys) of Alden Iowa; and his niece Charlene Polzin (Eddie) of Marshalltown. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
