He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Alvarado and Espedita Rodriguez; his sons, Enrique Alvarado and Raul Alvarado; and his brother Pedro Alvarado Rodriguez.
He is survived by: his wife Antonia Santoyo; his children, Samuel Alvardo (Rebeca) of Liberal, Humberto Alvarado (Gabriela) of Zacatecas, Martina Alvarado of California, Erlinda Alvardo of Round Rock, Graciela Alvarado (Jose Luis Aguilar) of Liberal and Clemencia Alvarado (Isauro Esqueda) of Seattle; his daughter-in-law Laura Alvarado of Hutto; and his sister Equilia Alvarado Rodriguez of Washington. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
