With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John LaPoint (Liberal, Kansas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on January 5, 2025 at the age of 52, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert, Julia Singleton, David Leon LaPoint and Ann Hammond; and his nephew Jonathan Hendrix.
He is survived by: his parents, David LaPoint and Theresa LaPoint (Singleton) of Glens Falls, NY; his wife Araceli Zuniga of Anthony's Catholic Church; his children, Nayelly Chavez (Efrain) of Plains, KS, Katelyn LaPoint of Lawrence, KS, Nathaniel LaPoint of Liberal, KS, Payton LaPoint of Liberal, KS and John Joseph LaPoint of Chickasha, OK; and his siblings, David LaPoint of Liberal, KS, Jessica Dixon (Ronald) of Queensbury, NY, Mary Beth Mantia (Kenneth) of Saratoga Springs, NY and Francine Buser (Richard). He is also survived by Six Grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (1510 N Calhoun Ave, Liberal, KS 67901). A Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
