We bid farewell to Gene Morris Jr. of Liberal, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 6, 2025 at the age of 81. Gene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosetta Morris and Eugene Morris, Sr.; his parents-in-law, Marge Hankins and Joe Hankins; his siblings, William Morris, Georgia, Rosie Jean and Ceatrice Ernestine; and his stepsons, Danny Love and Larry Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Hankins; his sons, Eugene "EJ" Morris, III (Jennifer) of Liberal, KS and Tyrone Eugene Morris (Lisa) of Salina, KS; his grandchildren, Ily Morris, Destan Morris, Jason Ruiz, Tahlia Morris and Tayton Morris; his siblings, Doretha Barnes and Alonzo Morris; his stepchildren, Aleisa Love, Vicky Love and Robert Love Jr.; his son Monty "Scooter" Goree; and his brother-in-law Bobby Adams. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and beloved friends and family.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bibleway Church of God in Christ (410 E 8th St, Liberal, KS 67901).
