He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Martinez Sr. and Eva Martinez (Saldivar); his great grandchild Alessandra Pineda; and his siblings, Crispin Martinez and Eva Dominguez.
He is survived by: his parent-in-law Micaela Jasso; his daughters, Michelle, Leslie and Gabrielle; his wife Micaela Martinez of Liberal; his daughters, Elisa Camacho of Liberal and Hilda Diffin (Tim) of Gladwin, Michigan.; and his siblings, Adan Moreno of San Antonio, Francisco Moreno of Lubbock, Texas., Juanita Garza of Ulysses and Celia Martinez Guerrero of Fort Collins. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 35 Great Grandchildren.
