He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Estella Mae Owens (Louthan); and his siblings, John Kelly, Owen Dean Owens, Gladys Owens Brown, Lila Owens Maupin and Vera Owens.
He is survived by: his former wives, Eleanor Chapman and Pauline Olsen Renick; his friend Church; his wife Rita Betham Hardy; his son Galen Owens (Gail Liberal); his grandsons, Andrew Owens (Lisa Liberal) and Dennis Owens (Kayla Plains); and his great grandchildren, Bryson, Luke and Ellie Owens. He is also survived by 7 step children and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
