He was predeceased by: his parents, Richey Brown Mitchell and Elsie May Mitchell (Kilgore); his wife Evelyn Joan Mitchell; his daughter Jamie Lou Mitchell; and his siblings, Lloyd, Clyde, Robert "Bob", Raymon, Louise, Mildred and Inis.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Judy Ann and Jamie Lou; his children, Earl Dean Mitchell Jr., David Lynn Mitchell of Liberal and Judy Ann Gill of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Melody Dawn Hunter, Tryston Matthew Ellis and Dylan Jacob Ellis; and his great grandchildren, Thomas Douglas and Wyatt Gage.
Memorial Donations suggest to the Parkinson's Foundation in care of the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
