He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Higgins and Zola Higgins; his wife Lois Mae Scott; his siblings, Leo and Minnie Lou; and his children, Jimmy Dale, Carolyn Sue and Timothy Everett.
He is survived by: his sister Letha; and his daughter Rita. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Grove Christian Church.
