He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Sr. Baker and Esther J. Baker (Colson); and his brothers, Robert, Daniel, Edward and Sammy.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Jamal Carney and Rasha Didier (Craig) of Pflugerville, TX; his grandchild Cayman; and his siblings, Newton Baker of Kinsley, Thomas Baker (Phyllis) of Bessemer, AL, Eva Marie Scherer of Wichita, KS, Joan Ford of Kinsley, KS, Theresa Cheeves of Hutchinson, KS and Mary Bowman (Rick) of Clay Center, KS.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to St. Bernard's or St. Nicholas, both in care of McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley, KS.
