He was predeceased by: his parents, Edvin Sheets and Hazel Sheets; and his wife Rosamary. He is survived by: his children, Scott Sheets (Vicki) of Brewster, Becky Miller (Richard) of Leoti, Peggy Wolken (Dan) of Gravette and Ted Sheets (Brenda) of Poteau, Oklahoma.; his grandchildren, Sondra Brown (Jeff) of Riverton, Beau Sheets (Tara) of Riverton, Tad Sheets of Woodward, Drew Miller (Rachel) of Lakin, Lindsey Miller of Dallas, Jessica Wolken of Gravette, Spenser Wolken (Maura) of Knoxville, Colton Sheets (Holly) of Houston and Lucas Sheets of Austin, Texas.; his great grandchildren, Jalee, Macee, Blaine Brown of Riverton, Wyoming, Kamdyn, Ty, Clay, Kynnedy, Karsyn Sheets of Riverton, Wyoming, Emma, Kate, Luke, James Miller of Lakin, KS and Frances Ann Sheets of Houston, Texas.; and his siblings, Dorothy Ann Streeter of Santa Fe, Virginia Lee Fryer of Santa Fe and Scott Sheets of Los Molinos, California..

Sherra Brigman wrote a sympathy message

“So sorry for your loss. Dick and my dad, Lawrence Lambert, were good friends. Dick came with my father and others from Leoti to our Presbyterian Church in Arlington, KS. (Back in the 70's). We had a good old fashion revival and people were saved. I will never forget that weekend. He was a special person! Sherra Lambert Brigman”
