She was predeceased by: her parents, Pantaleon Guerra and Genoveva Guerra; her former husband Santiago Garcia; her husband Gustavo Avila; and her siblings, Ramiro Guerra, Romeo Guerra, Ruben Guerra, Pantaleon Jr. Guerra, Jose Luis Guerra, Aurora Guerra, Amelia Salas and Matilda Medina.
She is survived by: her children, Santiago, Karen Garcia, Jr. of Leoti, Samuel, Hortensia Garcia of Hays, Jose Ruben Garcia of LaJunta, Rose Marie Garcia of Garden City, Genoveva Garcia of Garden City, Juliana and Tomas Santos of Leoti; and her sisters, Maria L. Mankin of Ranger, Martha Vestal of Leoti and Yolanda Montoya of Mission Texas. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Rebecca Avila Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home.
