He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nerio Avila and Genoveva Avila (Cazo); his former wife Maria J. Gomez; his wife Rebecca Avila of Leoti, Kansas.; his stepchildren, Santiago, Karen Garcia, Jr. of Leoti, Samuel, Hortensia Garcia of Hays, Jose Ruben Garcia of LaJunta, Rose Marie Garcia of Garden City, Genoveva Garcia of Garden City, Julianna and Tomas Santos of Leoti; and his sister Antonia Hernandez of Taos.
Memorials may be given to the Gustavo Avila Memorial Fund and mailed to the funeral home.
