In the vast expanse of eternity, Lorene shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lorene farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Small and Julia Small (Marshall); her husband Delmar R. Peterson; and her sisters, Audrey Pfizenmaier and Dorothy Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Joan (Rick Kahrs) of Morganville, KS, Steve (Jan Peterson) of Clay Center, KS and Mike (Vicki Peterson) of Clay Center, KS. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 19 Great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home (918 7th St, Clay Center, KS 67432). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church (921 5th St, Clay Center, KS 67432).
