He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren William and Mae C. Simnitt (Haller); and his brother-in-law John Webber. He is survived by: his former wife Margie Williams; his children, Wade Simnitt (Shaylee) of Clay Center and Chris Ricker (Josh) of Leonardville; his sisters, Linda Webber of Riley, Rhonda Wege (Tim) of Leonardville, Sandy Johnson (Chuck) of Manhattan, Tammi Heitman (Don) of Palmer and Sheila Jennings (Kerry) of Riley; and his grandchildren, Kasey Malec (Amber), Keegan Simnitt, Treston Ricker and Tatum Ricker.

Memorials may be made to the Gary Simnitt Memorial Fund and left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
