He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Dwight and Rose Marie Burgman (Esslinger). He is survived by: his wife Jane Lee Beaty; his children, Jada Burgman and Brock Burgman; and his siblings, John Burgman (Sandra), Janet Munoz (Steve), Shirley Vandahl (Vernon) and Teresa Hopper (Garth).

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the David Burgman Memorial Fund to go to his children's college education.
