He is survived by: his wife Janet Lunday (Diether); his daughter Kim Vering (Chris) of Lenexa; his grandchildren, Courtney Mallory (Sean) of Lenexa, Caleb Vering (Hannah) of Bentonville, AR, Devin Vering of Overland Park and Jesse Vering of Lenexa; his sister-in-law Carol Taylor of Overland Park; and his nephew Brett Taylor of Mission.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Moriah Cemetery.
