It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Trudy G. Vanderweide (Lenexa, Kansas), born in Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on April 11, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ritter and Lois Ritter; and her husband Phil Vanderweide. She is survived by: her children, Kevin (Michelle), Mark (Sarah) and Jill (Adam); and her grandchildren, Samuel, Gracie, Sophie, Eli, Zachary, Bennett, Brielle and Brennan.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for family and friends to bring a children's book to the remembrance gathering that will be donated in her honor.

I was only able to see her when I was back in KC. When we were able to get together it was as if no time had passed. That is a good friend. I am so lucky to have had her in my life.
