She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Emmanuel Smith and Jewel Smith (Campbell); her husband Pete Eye; her brother Paul "Bix" Smith; her daughter Kris; her son-in-law Paul Wachter of Shawnee, Kansas; her brother Stanley; her sister-in-law Mee-Mee Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana; her sister Deborah; her brother-in-law Yves Soucy of Memphis, Tennessee; her granddaughters, Meaghan White (Andrew) and Kaitlyn Wachter (Addison); and her great grandchild Lucas White. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was a kidney transplant recipient that brought her many more years to enjoy family and friendships, and was a supporter of fellow transplant patients and organ donation.
