He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Thrasher Otey and Buford B. Otey (Abe); his son Robert Scott Otey; his siblings, Francis Morris (Kenneth), Ronald Borden (Kari) and Herb Vogel; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Vogel.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his daughters, Tammi Marhefky (Tom) and Melanie Wilde (Jeff); his daughter-in-law Kerri Otey; his siblings, Gary Vogel and Charlene Sargent; his sister-in-law Dorothy Vogel; his grandchildren, Scott Stephenson, Ashlie Greene, Brittani Keen (Justin), Molli Hobdy (Hayden), Justin Wilde (Lindsey) and Zoe Otey; and his great grandchildren, Akai, Everett and Noelle.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Olathe Hospice House or Aberdeen Village Employee Scholarship Fund.
