He is survived by: his wife Beverly Akers; his children, Sheila Pannell (Glen), Kelly Swearngin, Michael Petty and Stephen Petty; his stepdaughter Vicki Miller (George); his grandchildren, Chris (Manyvohn), Cody (Curtis), Maggie (Luke), Sue (Bryan), Sarah, Angie (Jeff), Jason (Sarah), Chad, Jared (Candis), Cassie (Jake), Katie, Spencer (Kristen), Lexie, Michaela, Christian, Monica (John) and Christy (Brad); his great grandchildren, Mei-Mei, Emma, Lauryn, Rylee, Ashlie, Parker, Lane, Ryder, Brodee, Jenna, Addison, Cooper, Emerson, Lydia, Charlotte, Sage, Ariella, Brecklyn, Austin, Hannah and George; and his great great grandchildren, Knox and Olivia.
