She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Gushee and Buena Gushee; her husband Robert Desbien; her daughter Diane Caldwell; and her siblings, Betty Patton, Lois Fairbanks, Jack Gushee and Lester Gushee.

She is survived by: her daughter Susan Lillich (Biscanin); and her grandchildren, Holly Vielhauer, Gabe Caldwell and Kelsey Ingram. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
