He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Paul Alpheus Swinehart and Agnes Laura Swinehart (Ward); and his siblings, Donald Swinehart, Dr. Paul Swinehart Jr., Samuel Swinehart and Paula Crawford (Swinehart).
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Ann Swinehart (Howard); his daughters, Laura Petersma (Mike) and Karen Swearingen (Jeff); his grandchildren, Anthan (Taylor), Christian, Katherine, Lauren, Caroline, Elizabeth and Claire; and his great grandchild Evangeline. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
