It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark A. Sander of Lenexa, Kansas, born in Gorham, Kansas, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis R. Sander and Irene Sander. He is survived by: his wife Susie Sander; his children, Luke Sander (Katie), Lynn Sander (Derek Fricke) and Elizabeth Roddy (Ryan); his brother Bruce Sander (Mary); and his grandchildren, Jack Sander, Audrey Sander, Isla Fricke, Walker Fricke, Nora Roddy and Bennet Fricke.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home (14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (21650 W 115th Terrace, Olathe, KS 66061). A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (8300 Quivira Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Catholic Charities - Family Support Center of Olathe in Mark's memory.
