She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Howard and Evelyn Howard (Loganbill); her husband Jim; and her sister Helen Shinn. She is survived by: her son James Michael Hopkins of Lenexa, KS. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Special Olympics Kansas in care of the funeral home.
