He is survived by: his wife Carol Lee Dragosh; his sons, Gary L. McCarty (Mary Beth) of Kansas City, KS and Brian J. McCarty (Melissa) of Lee's Summit, MO.; and his brother-in-law Joe Dragosh of Mission, KS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Holy Family Catholic Church in Karl's memory.
