She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Geraldine Schafbuch and Allan Schafbuch; her husband James Geiger; her sons, Daniel Velicer (Kristin), Gregory Velicer (Yuen-Tsu Nicco) and Mark Velicer (Christine); her grandchildren, Nicholas, Hanna, Irene, Sophia, Jessica, Carlina and Tatianna Velicer; her siblings, James Schafbuch (Linda), Sandra Gibney (Steve) and Mary Junge; and her former husband Dr. Leland Frank Velicer.
In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jan's memory to the Kansas City Symphony, or to Kansas City Hospice Care for their excellent compassionate care.
