He was predeceased by: his father Richard "Neel" Baucom; and his brother-in-law John Pfalser. He is survived by: his mother Janice Lea Baucom (Dalton); his wife Jean Baucom; his daughter Anna Baucom; his brother Justin Baucom (Kelsey); his niece Charlie Baucom; his nephew Sagan Baucom; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Herrington and Ranetta Pfalser. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shawnee Mission School District Area Council PTA or the Carthage R-9 Foundation to help provide additional student programs in care of the Knell Mortuary.
