With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frederick F. Holmes M. D. in Lenexa, Kansas, who passed away on January 30, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Holmes (Beistel) and Allan Holmes; his wife Grace Foege; his brother David Holmes; and his daughter Cynthia Holmes.
He is survived by: his children, Heidi (Arthur Morgan) of Holden, Maine, Lisa (Imants Sics) of Clarinda, Iowa, Theodore (Connie) of Shawnee, Kansas, Julia (John McMorrough) of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Andrew (Claudia) of Lawrence, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Meredith, Katharine, Joseph, Cody Morgan, Alexander, Theodore, Samantha, Jennifer, Madeline Sics, Quentin Holmes, Matthew and Walter McMorrough; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Lily Sics, Asher Ferrill, Parker, Bodhi and Acacia Sics.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Charter Funerals - Shawnee Mission (10250 Shawnee Mission Pkwy, Shawnee, KS 66203). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Charter Funeral Home (10250 Shawnee Mission Pkwy, Shawnee, KS 66203). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (8300 Quivira Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215).
