He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Ackerman and Mary Montague Ackerman; and his siblings, Eldon Ackerman, Leo Ackerman and Pauline White.
He is survived by: his niece Patricia Roberts (Kelly); his great-niece Waneta Ackerman; his sister Fay Dowine; and his grandchildren, Jordan and Aalayah Ackerman.
