He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William R Gerdes and Grace Gerdes (Tjaden); his wife Linda Henrichs; his children, Richard Gerdes (Penny) and DeAnn Steinle (Michael); his grandchildren, Aaron and Nora Steinle; his sisters, Wilma Schell and Edna Schwarz; his sister-in-law Marge Maguire; and also, Joanne Jones (Roger), Hiye and Edith Henrichs.
