He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph John Stadler and Marie Sophie Angela Stadler (Leinacker); and his siblings, Marie Kaberline, Joseph Stadler, John Stadler, Virginia Latshaw, Andrew Stadler, Eugene Stadler, Francis Stadler, Rita Harvan, Cecelia Dunlap, Louis Stadler and James Stadler.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Sue Merrifield; his children, Jeffery Stadler (Michelle) of Joplin, Jennifer Murray (David) of Topeka, Joseph Stadler (Amy) of DeSoto and Janell Ridenour (Dennis) of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Shelby (Mike), Clara (Zach), Madeline, Aaron, Ellery, Andrew, Joshua, Theo and Samantha; and his great grandchildren, Corbin and Ava.
