He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Garrett and Lola Garrett; his brothers, Roy Allen and Howard Burton Garrett; and his grandson Joshua Scott Garrett.
He is survived by: his son David Scott Garrett (Angeles) of Greer; his wife Loretta Joan Garrett; his grandson Tyler Ray Garrett (Stephanie); his great grandchild Peyton Marie Garrett of Austin; and his siblings, Thomas Lee Garrett (Elaine) and Mary.
