It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew James Lewis-Ruiz of Lebo, Kansas, born in Emporia, Kansas, who passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Manuel Ruiz, Jr.; his grandfather James C. Lewis; his aunt Janice Allen; and his uncle David Lewis. He is survived by: his mother Janet Lynn Lewis of Lebo; his uncle Bill; his children, Ayana Gutierrez of Lawrence and Miles Mosher of Lawrence; his siblings, Heidi Silverman (Isaac) of Olathe and Scott Hinton (Meagan) of Juneau, Alaska; his grandmother Marjorie Lewis of Lebo; his niece Mabel Hinton; and his nephews, Isaac Silverman of Kenosha, WI and Arlo Hinton of Juneau, Alaska.
