Roy E. Heilman Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy E. Heilman (Leawood, Kansas), who passed away on May 28, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Heilman and Clara Heilman; and his sons, Richard and James Heilman. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Marie Fowler (Fowler); his siblings, Ed, Paul Heilman and Mary Skiff; his siblings-in-law, Karl Skiff and Mary Elaine Heilman; his siblings, David (Anita) and Francis Heilman; his children, Billy (Shelly), Tommy Heilman (Maggie) and Jeannie Richardson (Jim); his daughter-in-law Jan Fawcett Heilman; his grandchildren, Olivia, Georgia, Brooklynn, Heidi, Millie, Dean, Riley Heilman, Colin, Reece and Drew Richardson; and his caregivers, Crystal, Faith and Anitha. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City in Roy's name in honor of the special bond he shared with his granddaughter Brooklynn, Rockhurst High School, or St. Teresa's Academy.
