It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rick Vernon Downey of Leawood, Kansas, born in Kansas City, Kansas, who passed away on April 18, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his son Brian; his wife Janet Eads Downey; his son Drs; his grandchildren, Patrick, Brendan, Evan, Bridget and Mary; his sister Janet; his brother-in-law Sam Guenther; his brother Ron; his sister-in-law Karen Downey; and also Merlene Eads. He is also survived by 4 nieces, 1 nephew, and many of Janet's cousins.
