He is survived by: his sons, Lyle Carter Willits (Theresa Patterson Willits) of Decatur, Christopher Peter Willits (Andrea Lessani-Willits) and Philip Scott Willits of Kansas City, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Megan Boston, Sara Willits of Trinity, Paige Willits of Decatur, Madeleine and Adam Willits; and his great grandchildren, Carter Boston, Grant Barfield and Abigail Barfield.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel (2105 Beltline Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at the Midway Memorial Gardens (3740 Co Rd 434, Moulton, AL 35650-8013).
