He was predeceased by: his father Charles Putman; and his sister-in-law Nancy Putman. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Putman (Marg) of Texas; his children, Diana Wise (Brian), Darren Putman and Laura Baldwin (Burke); his siblings, David Putman (Dave) of Virginia, Richard Putman (Rick) of Texas and Margaret Presnell (Peggy) of Texas; his close friend Angel Daniels of Kansas; and his grandchildren, Danica Wise, Garrett Wise, Avery Baldwin and Emmett Baldwin.
